Seasonal Capsule Guides
Winter
Winter is the season for staples and layers. Buy clothes in larger sizes for wearability through the spring and summer, and make sure you stock up on socks!

Layers
Plan on plenty of t-shirts (long and short sleeve) for the base of your child's outfits. Throw a jacket or sweater/sweatshirt over top for extra warmth. Leggings make a good base layer and can be worn under jeans or snowpants depending on how cold the weather gets where you live.
Versatility
Winter tops come in plenty of fun patterns. When you've found options that fit your child's personality, opt for jeans, leggings, or sweatpants in neutral colors for maximum mix-and-matchability between tops and bottoms.

Size Up
Jeans with adjustable waistbands are the miracle of kids' fashion today. Buying a size up means you'll get extra wear out of kids' clothes, plus the extra fabric may help keep your child warmer in the cold weather. Roll sleeves or pant legs as needed.
